On Monday, the court heard call records and data obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test during that period.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most widely reported child disappearance cases and continues to be open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another voicemail, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording stated: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I am she? Then what? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a life here in Poland, I only wish to understand," the message continued.

The panel was told that by means of electronic messages, text messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a attempt to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with law enforcement who collated the information, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted close associates of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "incorrect contact information."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I won't give up and I will prove my claim."

Court proceedings
Kate and Gerry McCann provided testimony to the court from protected by a security measure on Wednesday

The court heard Mrs Spragg struck up a association through digital means with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in the county in last December.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had reached out through communication app to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the period leading up to the trip to Rothley, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court heard communications between the two defendants, in November 2024, planning endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her garbage or from utensils at a restaurant.

"We need to assert ourselves," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their residence, the defendant dispatched a text which said: "We find ourselves positioned adjacent to the McCanns' home with our headlights off like private investigators. I desired to accomplish this with someone else I hadn't anticipated I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
