‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
