Two Charged Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault

Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
